Hello.
I'm thinking at least 1000 per day. Because I'm rusty and somewhat pitted. And, I doubt I'll manage every day, but doubting then tends to be self-fulfilling, so I shall try to reduce that. I'll try to do every day. |

OK, I have a client on Elance, but I've decided to fire him. The hassle of dealing with him is not worth the money even though his cause, improving the
educational system and protecting the environment of the Galapagos Islands while also encouraging economic development was one that I would have liked to
support. It's an interesting issue. Last year, some fisherman blocked the entrance to the Charles Darwin Research Center and kept the employees from
leaving for several days as a protest against restrictions on fishing that put their source of income at risk. I don't need a client to find markets for
articles about that issue, though, so, bye bye client.
I've also signed up for two business management courses for my minor in business management and two courses graphic design for my design minor but, hey, what the heck, I'm not sure yet what my target will be, but I'm here.

I did the NaPoWriMo thing and will try this. I haven't produces a story in months--I'm dry, drier, driest. But I want to so this may be the impetus.
I will do either a poem or a story a day. Or I will add 500 words to the book project, but that will be last resort. I won't post the book stuff because I have a co-writer and it's not my call. Where do we send stuff?

My client has earned a reprieve from his death sentence, so work for him plus something for the June blast every day. That should add up to a healthy total.

Hi Louise, Eliz, John (and T)
I'm in - from this w/e. I won't manage one every day but I'll do my best, aiming at 500w. Eliz - not proper crits, just a line or two and an approx score.

Elizabeth, "work" doesn't count.
eg a journalist's journalism isn't part of our total, just the separate "on-spec" work

Thank you. Yes, T can view the non-public blast forum. She will write 300 words, or so, using a prompt, on a daily basis.

300 words or so = 500 words, yes?
Remember, the prompts are assitance, but any flash or story or poem is OK

Count me in from tomorrow.
Just moved to a new place, unpacking 20 boxes tonight. The first piece will probably be tainted by lumbago and the hell of Ikea. |

Hello all
I'm aiming for at least a poem a day. I could come up with loads of reasons why doing a blast in June will be difficult. It's other half's busiest time of year - he televises Wimbledon and disappears off here next Weds - coming home only to sleep. So I do all t childcare and try to fit in my day job as well. But heck what could be more important than writing and June is good because it's light until late and dawn comes early.

Snowball136 wrote:Oh, yeah, forgot about that. Well, this was supposed to be a long-term project, but then, after accepting the bid, the buyer asked for a two-week trial. Still, I wouldn't classify it as being on-spec. Margot, I was joking about the critting and the time I have to do everything I'm doing this month. I know flashes and blast stuff only gets a couple of lines.

helloo folks - remiss of remissville here.
yep, I'm up forra BLAST through June. For once I have been writing, and actually submitted stories to a couple of comps - got long-listed in both, and just sent off another for a third comp. So, seeing as I'm writing rather than pontificating for the first time in a loooooong time, I have a couple more deadlines for which I need to write stories. Daily word count may well be sporadic, as I've discovered writing in a blast of one day/two day max for a story works best for me. But I'll definitely try a flash a day, scattered amongst the longer days. 500-1000 words daily flash 3,000 long writing blast days (which tend to be Sunday/Monday when I'm not working) cheers, Nancy
